The leather upper has held up way better than the faux-leather pairs we tried before, no cracking after two months of daily wear. My son's feet don't get sweaty in them either, which was a problem with his old sandals.

My three-year-old actually asks to put these on, which says a lot since she usually fights shoes. The super-flexible sole bends right with her feet when she runs, and the breathable lining keeps them from getting sweaty on warm days.

I was worried about the leather upper being stiff, but it softened up after a week of preschool wear. The lining keeps her feet dry even after a full day of running around, which is a nice change.
